Moreno Building Corp works across Florida, out of Miami-Dade. Licensed, insured, and permitted on every job. That should be the floor, and plenty of people find out the hard way that it is not.
How we work
Permitted, inspected, documented.
Every job we do gets pulled as a permit and closed out with an inspection. You get the permit number, the inspection results, and photographs of the work at the stages you would otherwise never see: the deck after tear-off, the secondary water barrier, the fastening before it is covered.
Keep that paperwork. Your insurer will ask for it, so will a buyer's inspector, and it settles any argument about the work three years from now.
What the code asks for changes across the state. In Miami-Dade and Broward, the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, every product carries a Notice of Acceptance and a secondary water barrier goes over the whole deck. Elsewhere in Florida the wind requirements are set by where you are and what you are building. We price for the county your house sits in.

Tile, shingle, or metal, rated for your wind zone. In the hurricane zone it also carries a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance.

A rated nailing pattern for this wind zone. An inspector checks it before anything covers it.

The working weather layer under the covering.

Secondary water barrier
Self-adhered across the whole deck. This is the layer that keeps water out of your house when a storm takes the covering off. Required in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, and worth paying for anywhere on this coast.
